Mom's Email July 14, 2008

Hey Mom!!!

Thanks for all your prayers for me and Rocio and her husband Selio. SHE´S BAPTIZED!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! I am so happy for her. I am excited to send you the pictures too. She is just so cute and was so ready to get baptized. I seriously love her. She was definitely golden. We had to see her every day last week to get all the lessons taught to her. We loved it though. She was so nervous, i felt bad for her. But the members were nice to her and told her that was normal and she had nothing to be nervous about. And she´s baptized!!!

Now we have to work on Richard. He still wants to get baptized, and we´ve taught him everything, but he never comes to church....this is a problem. They are supposed to come twice before they can be baptized. He has come twice but it´s been a month since the last time he came and Hermana Shultz wants him to come two more times before he gets baptized so it will be at least 2 more weeks. But as long as he keeps his commitments and comes to church he´ll be fine. We are teaching 3 Africans right now and i love them!!! They make me laugh so much. The only problem is they never come to church. Roland tries but the Jehovah's Witnesses always come and grab him and take him to their church. This week i think we will be doing that. haha.

Oh, None of Rocio´s family came to the baptism. Her sisters in law and her husband did, but i don´t even know if she invited the rest of her family. They didn´t want her to get baptized. Kind of sad. But i am proud of her for getting baptized anyway. She will be so blessed for it.

Kade is such a cutie. I bet he is having so much fun. How cute that his favorite animal is a zebra!! I love him so much!!!! I bet you and him and tanner will have such a fun time playing on their birthday. You are such a fun mom. I can´t wait till i can hang out with you again too.

I will know about transfers by Sunday. I am so excited and curious to find out what will happen. It´s so crazy. I think my companion will train again. she is the oldest hermana in the mission after Hermana Ross goes home next week and if she does train, we´ll either be in a trio...yuck...or i´ll be transferred. So kind of fun. I really don´t think i´ll train out of training like she said i could. There is no way i am ready for that. The Spanish is coming but it´s not all there yet. I am feeling more confident in my Spanish though. It´s kind of fun to think one day i will be able to understand and have a full conversation with Spanish people. Crazy!!!
