Letter Written On The Plane On The Way To Madrid

I have no idea if it’s Tues. or Wed now.
I’m not even going to attempt the time.
Hi Family!

Well, I’m on the plane, on my way to Spain! We are 37,998 feet in the air moving 547 miles per hour, 45 minutes away from landing. Crazy huh? So I think I slept around 3 hours and woke up to breakfast. I spent some of the first 4 hours writing in my Journal and studying. I should have gotten much more done, but I did get some grammar rules down, which was great. I’m sitting with Hermana Lindly and another Hermana in the middle section, 3 rows from the back. I thought about Brian Regan when the started handing out dinner, but don’t worry, no fish heads. I also thought of Jerry Seinfeld and how he likes to go into the bathroom because it’s…I don’t even know. I just remember it’s funny.

It was so much fun to see you all. It was so much fun! It was so fun when I got off the bus to see you all waiting for me. I’m not looking forward to going through customs. It sounds like a long, boring process. But I’ve already had so many hours at travel, I’m just glad to get the whole process over with. We are dropping altitude a little. We’re just 30 minutes away, flying over Spain. I wish I had a window seat, but an Isle seat is okay too. I’m just glad I’m not in the middle.

It was a good flight. I was pretty comfortable until the last hour or so. We had Chicken for dinner with, apparently, sweet potatoes. I’m not sure that’s what it was, but it was good. There were also vegetables: corn and peppers, a roll and a brownie which was actually the only part of the meal I didn’t like. Usually dessert is my favorite, but I have to say either my roll or the potatoes were the best. Well, I’m looking across the plane out the window and I can see mountains, the first thing I saw in Spain.

9,000 feet…8,000 feet…7,000 feet…8 min till landing…6,000 feet…5,000 feet…4,000 feet…distance traveled 4,553 miles…3,000 feet…2,000 feet…I see trees…We’ve landed!! I’m in Spain!!

So I thought I should mail this since I wrote it 3 weeks ago. Sorry it ends so abruptly. I love you guys. I’ll write a better letter soon!
