Hey Family!!!
I loved your emails, thank you so much!!! Dad, you are right, that was a huge distancia!!! One of the longest trips you could have for transfers in the mission. My journey began with packing my bags….well, i threw out my coat, and a bag full of clothes and I still could barely fit everything in my bags. They were soooo heavy. I don´t know what happened. I thought, oh no, I´m gonna be the sister missionary with the 100 pound bags every one makes fun of. But oh well, I didn't want to throw out any more yet so I figured I'd just deal with it. Haha. We took the long 12 minute walk to the train station and my bags, even though H. swenson had one of them, were getting heavy. I also had on a back pack which had my scriptures and journal and Preach my Gospel in it, and my missionary bag, along with my carry-on and one of my big suit cases. It was fun….well I hopped on a train at 9:06 with Elder Martineu who was on his way home and talked to this really sweet lady named Diana the whole way to Sevilla. She is from Florida and served here about 15 years ago. It was so good talking to her. She talked about her mission and she just made me so happy. I wrote down her name, i want to try to find her when i get home. I just really loved her. She was awesome. So fun. We got to Sevilla an hour and a half later. Elder McLuckie and his companion were waiting there to help me with my bags. Hermana Lindley was also there. I then bought a ticket to Malaga, Elder McLuckie helped me get my bags on my train then I waved goodbye to him and Hermana Lindley for the last time. Kind of sad I won't see them again. But I 'm glad that I got to see them one last time. Then we were on our way to Malaga. 3 hours later we arrived in Malaga. There I saw Hermana Smith and a couple other people I know, I met my new companion and we got on a bus with another Elder who is brand new and started our 3 and a half hour bus ride to AlmerÃa. It was fun….I was really blessed that I didn't get sick. I always get really bus sick here. But I was ok this time.
The first couple days in Almeria I didn't know what to think. I hate being new!! I feel so useless not knowing anyone or anything about them. But now that I am learning the area and getting to know the people a little better I am really coming to love it here. And me and my companion are starting to get to know each other a little better too. She is an awesome missionary. I am so glad I get to work with her. People kept telling me Almeria is like a mini South America. They are right. There are so many South Americans here. And we are always teaching them. There are a lot of Africans too. This is going to be a great couple months. I am so happy. Those last 3 transfers were so hard, I am so excited to have this change and work hard and see some success. One thing I love about Hermana Nelson is her animo, enthusiasm for the work. She is awesome. She is from Idaho and she started in February. We live in an apartment with one other woman. It´s different from San Fernando because Pepi was the land lady, but this lady is just a room mate. Her name is Vilma I think. And get this, she is from Chile!!! And better yet, she served her mission in Osorno!!! Cool huh!!
I am so excited to see Hermana Clegg. I will see her in less than 2 weeks for zone conference. I would love to go on a trip with you guys!! I think that sounds like a blast. There really aren't a lot of people I'm dying to see. Just you guys. Just my fam.
Ok, so i am trying to pull up mom's email again so i can make sure i answered all of her questions but this internet is so slow. I am typing in word right now, if not, I probably would have lost your email. Sad….
Well, I didn't know it was Nana and papa´s 50th anniversary. That's so cool. I am so excited to see the pictures. I am also excited to get that tape. Thanks so much for making me one.
Oh, here is my new address. I would send a letter first to make sure it gets here ok. Madre mazarelo 25, 304005 AlmeriaSpain
Tell Nana and Papa congrats. And Shannon and Darrin and Daniel too. And tell Natalie and everyone else hello for me.
ok, so it is pretty sunny here, Especially in the morning. Ican't see! I have to squint a lot. My ward is awesome!! They bring food to church so we have food on Sunday! Crazy huh. They help us out a ton with our investigators too.
Well, I better run, I´m out of time. I love you guys so much!!!! Have an awesome week!!!!
I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
