Hey Mom!!!
I am glad you guys liked the notes from elder Bednar. Did I tell you about what he said about general conference. I loved it. It was so interesting. He said when you are assigned to speak you get an amount of time assigned to you and you know who you speak after and that is all. It´s up to you to pick the topic. Even the songs are picked separately. Everything is given by revelation to the person speaking. Elder Bednar will be speaking for 16 minutes this general conference. He said it´s interesting how rarely a topic is ever repeated in one session. Even the songs are perfect for each meeting. Cool huh.
I don´t think Hermana Swenson likes living with Pepi much. ha ha. she´ll get used to it. I didn´t like it at first either. but it defiantly has it´s good side. We got home a little late the other day and Pepi was worried about us. It made me feel really good that she cared that much about us.
We taught Maria del Mar and Carlos this week with our ward mission leader. He´s praying. That surprised me. but that´s great. He hasn't gotten an answer yet but he said he´d keep praying. awesome!
I think our Olympian investigator is gone. The last time we visited her she said she would be gone within a couple days. It´s kind of sad. We are going to stop by one more time, but at least she has the Book of Mormon and we have her number. so we can give that number to the elders where her daughter lives. She is going to move in with her daughter for about a month. It's hard though because that whole acting thing you mentioned isn't happening with her. That really is the hardest part. Getting people to act. I like how you said the lord need disciples, not just believers. You are so right. Everyone thinks believing is enough. but it´s not.
I'm sorry the dinner was awkward. I hate that. I think Hermana Mellor was glad when Elder Bednar and Elder Oaks and their wives left. ha ha. I hate awkward.
Well, I am out of time, today we played soccer with the elders. Then one of them made us lunch. It was a Ecuadorian meal. Rice with veggies on top. really good. We also had fried bananas and I made Texas sheet cake. It was a hit. ha ha. They loved it. There was still some left and I told Elder James, one of my zone leaders who loves desserts to come eat more, I didn't want to take any home, suddenly like 6 elders rushed for the table. It was so funny. Ha ha.
I love you so much!!!! You are so awesome!!!! I always tell you, but you are just my friend. I love you so much!!! I hope you have a great week. People are still telling me you look so young and that we look a lot alike. They are always amazed. You me and Kade. We are all twinners...triplets. I don´t know. I like it though. I love you. Talk to you next week!!!
Love,
Morgan

Hey Dad,
Thanks for telling me about what Bishop Burton said. I loved it. I like how he said they are building temples and chapels all over the world. Sevilla is about to finish a brand new chapel. They had been trying to get the land and build the chapel for over ten years. A few weeks ago the stake president announced they had just had land approved to build a new chapel here. Something they have been working on for I think 12 years now. It´s so cool. It is going to be in a great spot right by the freeway so everyone can see.
I also liked that you said more people are coming to church. We noticed here too that more people are listening to us in the street. Missionary work is rising in success in Europe and I think the Economic stuff is actually part of the reason. It´s so interesting how the Lord works.
What a great opportunity to have this meeting with the Presiding Bishop. I bet that was so cool. I have to tell you. A man in our ward spoke to us this Sunday. He used to be the Bishop of this ward. He spoke on tithing. Usually I don't like talks on tithing but I'm not kidding, it was the best talk on tithing I have ever heard. It was so good. He did an awesome job. He talked about the importance of paying tithing first because if tithing is not a priority there is no way we can pay for everything but if we pay it first things, things just fall into place. he also said, don´t pay part. pay all of it. He said when a little child brings me 10 cents in an envelope that is as real as the man who brings an envelope with a huge amount of money. He talked about the need to tell our children to pay it. If tithing is always important to them it will be a much stronger testimony for them as they grow older and as the tell others in the mission field to pay their tithing. He said don't think they don't need to pay, it's only a few cents. Teach them to pay it. I loved his talk. He also talked about how he had to work really hard to save up for his mission. He made sure he took out his tithing right away. When he finally had enough to pay he still had to find a suit. A lady he knew had a jacket that was brand new that she gave to him. Now he only had to find pants that matched but it was like finding a needle in a haystack. He went everywhere but couldn't find a good match. He said he felt impressed to keep trying. He thought "God gave me a suit, he'll help me find my pants too" Finally he went to a store and they had a match. He said the first word that came to his mind was "tithing." It was just an awesome talk.
Well, I love you so much. You are just awesome. Thanks for being such an awesome dad. I love you!!!!!
Love,
Morgan
